Our customer in Cave Creek had a water heater burst two weeks ago flooding their master bedroom walk-in closet and leaking into the corner of the bedroom. We were called out and our technician replaced a section of carpet padding in the bedroom, stretched the carpet back into place and then cleaned the carpet with a botanical disinfectant called Benefect. Benefect is used in hospitals and will kill 99.9% of all bacteria and fungi. It is also safe to use around children and pets. While the technician was in the home he used his moisture meter in the closet to see if the walls and tack strip were still wet. Moisture was detected and this was two weeks later. This is why you need to call a trusted restoration company, such as Phoenix Water Damage, right away so that we can set up dehumidifiers and air movers to help dry out the walls and sub-floors quickly.
