When needed, at our water damage restoration jobs, we use a portable filtration system called an air scrubber. This device will remove particles, chemicals and musty odors from the air within the area we are working. The device will draw air in from the surrounding area and pass it through a series of filters that will remove the contaminants. Depending on the size of the area or the number of rooms our technician may use multiple devices so that all contaminants from the environment are removed. If the air is not cleaned as the dry out and restoration process is completed you can be breathing in hazardous particles. These hazardous particles can be microbial growth, dust, asbestos, lead, chemical fumes, etc. If these particles are free to stay in the air they can settle on upholstery, on carpet and furnishings and can even be drawn into your air conditioning system. This will have a negative effect on the air quality in your home. An air scrubber will filter the air and recirculate it, which will greatly improve the general air quality. Our company uses lightweight, compact air scrubbers with airflow that is demanded on most restoration jobs. When used in combination with air movers and dehumidifiers our technicians are able to get your home dried out as quickly as possible.
